A. Harbor Ridge HOA does not require a specific homebuilder or a specific style of house. Your house plans must be submitted and approved by an Architectural Review Committee before construction. No mobile homes or trailers are permitted.

Q. Are Waterfront Lots dockable?
A. Yes in most cases. Before building a dock you must obtain a Dock Permit from Duke Energy.

Q. What type of activities are allowed on the lake?
A. The lake is a fully recreational lake for swimming, boating (gas or electric engines), sailing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boats, jet skiing, water skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, etc.

Q. What schools are in the area?
A. Harbor Ridge is located in the Burke County Public School System, with students attending Rutherford College Elementary, Heritage Middle School and Jimmy C. Draughn High School.

A. Yes. Harbor Ridge Home Owner's Association maintains the community through an annual dues assessment.

Q. What type of utilities are in the community?
A. Harbor Ridge has underground power, underground phone lines, county water, and septic systems. (septic systems are installed during home construction)

Q. How close is Harbor Ridge to ski resorts?
A. Harbor ridge is located at 1100 to 1200 feet above sea level. Ski Resorts are an hour away.

Q. How close is Harbor Ridge to the beach or ocean?
A. It is about 4 hours to Myrtle Beach and Wilmington, NC and Charleston, SC.

Q. Where can I launch my boat?
A. Less than one mile away is a six ramp public boat launch.
